About Us
Who We Are
Since Jamie's School Dinners, the nutritional balance of the school menu has been the subject of unprecedented public and media scrutiny. But the success of the series and its subsequent campaigns has overshadowed the clear failure of successive governments to address fundamental food/cookery education in children.
For three years, Sticky Mitts has been the only company to offer an accessible, affordable, flexible at-home cooking course designed specifically for children. Sticky Mitts are leading the way in showing that the knowledge and the ability to prepare nutritious food are basic life skills which all children from all walks of life should have the opportunity to learn.
The Sticky Mitts Team
Sticky Mitts was originally established by two concerned parents with a keen interest in teaching children about nutritious, delicious food. After the initial success of Sticky Mitts, the founding partners looked for more seasoned, education professionals to take the brand forward.
Sticky Mitts is now:
Head Chef: Rob Rees, MBE
Director: Julie Wells
Director: Steve Taylor
Backing up the team are a host of talented professionals all of whom are passionate about the food that our children eat, and also about the importance of being able to cook as a key life skill.
